    I ended my 2024 reading Sarina, but I kept searching for the right words - honest, fitting, true - until today. Just like her book From Scraping High to Soaring High. After the first 30 pages, I had already gone through every possible emotion, the way I think it’s only natural when you’re exposed to real art.     I first grew fond of Sarina through her Facebook posts, and later through the little stories on her blog — the first one I read was about her move to Malta and the tale of the twenty dollars. Her stories about discovering beauty on two wheels only make me crave new adventures even more.

    “I was pedalling through Tuscany, overflowing with too much beauty, too much goodness. (…) I also went north, to Turin, and from there crossed into France. Still on my bike. There were mountains, it was tough pedaling, brutal at times. I cycled the entire Amalfi Coast. I landed in Naples and from there visited the islands of Ischia and Capri, then took on the whole Amalfi stretch. On my left the mountains, on my right the sea. The climbs were endless, but the unfolding landscapes kept me motivated not to give up.
